Job Description

Cox Automotive is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst II to join our Product & Technology team in Atlanta, GA. As a pivotal member of our Analytics & Reporting team, you will help establish a data-driven approach to support strategy, financial, and operations management.

In this role, you'll primarily support our Risk & Security and Enterprise Technology Operations stakeholders, working with leading and senior analysts. Flexibility is required to support other priorities as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

Collaborate:

Work with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven business decisions focused on growth and optimization.

Develop Analytic Solutions:

Create and deliver recurring reports and dashboards tailored to stakeholder needs. Ensure that reports visually present data in a way that is easily understood by non-analytical audiences.

Support Analytics Systems and Tools:

Maintain reporting capabilities through regular audits, data validation, and ad hoc analysis. Document metrics, queries, and data sources.

Apply Natural Language Generation:

Generate foundational insights for reports and dashboards, including initial analyses for manual validation.

Centralize Reporting Assets:

Maintain centralized reporting assets to enable organization-wide self-service and reduce redundancy.

Learn and Implement New Technologies:

Utilize analytics and relevant technologies (e.g., SQL-based databases, data visualization software) to support company initiatives, working closely with managers and leaders.

Who You Are

Minimum Tool Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience with analytics platforms like Power BI and Snowflake
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Required Skill Sets:

  • 2+ years experience with intermediate Excel, including formulas and graphs
  • Basic SQL programming skills
  • Ability to synthesize large data volumes into clear, actionable findings
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis

Preferred Experiences:

  • Experience with report design and data visualization
  • Experience managing data lineage with multiple sources
  • Experience with machine learning or automation

Soft Skills:

  • Self-motivated with a strong appetite for continuous learning
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to ask questions and challenge assumptions

Education:

  • BA/BS in related disciplines or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in related disciplines

Professional Experience:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of a master's degree and work-related experience
