- The Business Intelligence Team enables data- and insights-driven decision making across all Service Lines, supplying actionable insights to guide management and business decisions regarding product positioning, pricing, cost to serve, budgeting, targets, and strategic direction.
- This role will work closely with Service Line leads, Finance, and other stakeholders, managing the end-to-end delivery of specific initiatives involving pricing, profitability, revenue optimising, and the review of commercial frameworks.
- As a Business Intelligence Associate, you will play a critical role in using data to aid decision making and strategic planning. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other members of the business intelligence team within an Agile Framework to achieve these outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver monthly calculations of business unit profitability, investigate variances to previous months, and identify and monitor emerging trends and risks.
- Collect and analyse data from various sources to identify patterns and trends to enhance performance.
- Create visualisations and dashboards to communicate data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Create both regular and one-off reports for senior management.
- Assist with operational improvement projects focusing on data analysis and process optimisation. Develop workflows (using Power Automate) for automation within the Business Intelligence Team.
- Collaborate with other teams within Ocorian's finance department to achieve the best possible results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with creating and implementing processes and procedures
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with data system analysis including report generation.
- Proficiency in Data Analysis Tools such as Power BI (Essential) and Automation Tools such as Microsoft Power Automate (Essential).
- Proficiency in SQL is a plus.
- Experience with Financial Metrics is a plus.
