Role & Responsibilities

As a Cloud Data Platform Developer on our team, you will design and implement the core data integration platform for our project from start to finish. You’ll collaborate with customers and end-users to understand their mission, architecture, and security needs. Your design will be scalable to meet their evolving demands. With a focus on the customer’s objectives, you will recommend tools and technologies based on your thorough analysis of the environment. Your architecture will seamlessly integrate with existing infrastructure, ensuring no compromise on security.

As a technical leader, you’ll also identify new opportunities for platform-based solutions to help customers tackle their most challenging issues. This position allows you to utilize your deep OS knowledge and expand your expertise to areas like Cloud computing, large-scale data ingestion and processing, various data storage types (including graph data, time series, spatial, and other NoSQL), high-performance data streaming, data science, and the integration of novel mission applications and analytics.

Qualifications

Required:

• 7+ years of application development experience
• 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex data applications at an enterprise scale
• 5+ years of experience creating software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data
• 5+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• 5+ years of experience developing scalable ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics
• Experience developing scripts and programs for data conversion and supporting project teams to scale, monitor, and operate data platforms
• Ability to supervise and guide projects and deliverables in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree
• Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire

Nice to Have:

• 10+ years of experience with Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
• 5+ years of experience with AWS
• 5+ years of experience with distributed data and computing tools, including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Nifi, Kafka, Scala, or Java
• 5+ years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
• 5+ years of experience with UNIX and Linux, including basic commands and Shell scripting
• 5+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Associate Certification
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer or Kubernetes Administrator Certification
