About the Enterprise Cloud Platforms Team:
The Enterprise Cloud Platforms team within CTI at Bank of America works on delivering cutting-edge private and public cloud solutions. By joining our team, you will drive significant advancements in cloud technology, developing solutions that emphasize quality, resilience, and enterprise-wide scale.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
- Develop infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform for cloud data services.
- Automate the setup of public cloud landing zones and foundational data services.
- Create automation integrations for IAM, networking, and security policies with an eye towards robust observability and resiliency.
- Work alongside product management and operations within an agile framework to progress the engineering roadmap.
- Engineer secure application patterns into our cloud platforms in collaboration with the Information Security teams.
- Translate business requirements into detailed technical solutions consistent with our organization's standards and policies.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in cloud environments, specifically with Azure analytics technologies (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks), and familiarity with Microsoft Purview and Power BI.
- Extensive knowledge of Terraform for writing infrastructure configurations.
- Expertise in cloud-native security and monitoring tools, and a solid understanding of cloud networking and security.
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure design with high availability and resilience.
- Strong programming skills and experience in DevOps, GitOps, and infra-automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in cloud data engineering, with a 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field.

- Certifications in Microsoft Azure, with AWS and GCP also advantageous.
