Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and goal-oriented Computational Biologist with a robust background in bioinformatic analysis. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of standard genomic datasets (mutation, CNV, gene expression, etc.) and the capability to build efficient pipelines for data analysis and extraction of gene/disease-specific information. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a variety of biological data, emphasizing real-world impact within a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct statistical and bioinformatic analyses of clinical, genomic, and high-throughput molecular data (omics).
• Develop and execute data analysis protocols to support our drug discovery pipeline.
• Interpret and understand analytic results from a biological perspective, presenting scientific findings to a diverse audience internally and externally.
• Research and implement innovative methods for data integration.
• Prepare and submit scientific manuscripts for review and publication, supporting intellectual property filings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree with 2 years of experience, or a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of direct professional work experience.
• Strong understanding of the statistical principles underlying common bioinformatic analyses.
• Proven experience in applying computational methodologies to extract, process, and transform data from publicly available sources (e.g., TCGA, GEO, DbGap).
• Proficiency in R is required. Experience in Bioconductor is preferred.
• Experience with Linux and Big Data technologies.
• Proven ability to deliver outputs that highlight major trends, avoid misinterpretations, and value conclusions.
• Attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience in the biotech, pharma, and/or healthcare industry is a plus.
