Role: Cloud Engineering Infrastructure Development

We are Seeking Talented Engineers and Architects

We are looking for hands-on, distributed systems engineers and architects with a passion for solving complex problems in large-scale, global platforms. At Oracle, you will have the opportunity to design and build cutting-edge systems from the ground up. This is an exciting time to join us as we are growing rapidly, embarking on ambitious new initiatives where engineers at all levels can have a significant technical and business impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience in building and operating large-scale, highly available, cloud-based distributed systems
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C, C++, C#, Go, or Python, with additional language proficiency preferred
  • Strong understanding of operating system fundamentals
  • Expertise in data models and distributed persistence technologies
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
  • Proficiency in network, distributed, asynchronous, and concurrent programming
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM enterprise-scale software development
  • Experience with big data solutions
  • Proven ability to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Experience in building and operating scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems
  • Experience with AWS services such as EC2, EBS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3 or equivalents
  • Passion for technical leadership and mentoring
  • Experience with fleet orchestration for both virtual and containerized workloads
  • Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals
  • Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures
  • Knowledge of storage principles, protocols, and best practices
  • Experience in building secure software using modern security principles
  • Technical leadership experience

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to develop, debug, and design software applications or operating systems according to design specifications. You will build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements.
