The Data department manages all of Agoda’s data-related needs. Our primary objective is to facilitate and boost the use of data in the company through creative strategies and the application of robust resources such as operational and analytical databases, queue systems, BI tools and data science technology. The Opportunity:

A BI Developer/Data Engineer in the BI Team is part of the data team developing data and BI solutions for analytical purposes, working with product managers, and business users to ensure our data and solutions satisfy the business analytics requirements. We also need to work closely with the engineering team developing products/applications in Agoda to ensure all relevant data is tracked and logged correctly with quality.

What you'll Need to Succeed:

• Degree in IT related / Computer Science / MIS or equivalent experience
• Strong SQL command and ability to write complex query on big data
• Good at multi-tasking and problem solving, good communication skills, quick learning and willing to learn non-technical business and industry knowledge
• Strong proficiency in English, in speaking, reading and writing
• Ability to work independently and functioning as a team player

It's Great if you have:

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence, data warehouse concept and data tools such as MSDT, Tableau, Metabase, SQL Server, Vertica, Hadoop
