Job Summary

The Credit Data Strategy & Reporting Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity, governance, and utilization of data across the enterprise, both internally and externally. This role involves using analytical and technical skills to enhance data quality through business intelligence tools and platforms as well as business process design. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal and external teams to design and prototype data analyses that align with business strategies and needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Standardize credit data definitions and classifications while ensuring a documented data trail throughout data-related processes.
  • Represent credit risk in an enterprise-wide data management framework.
  • Foster cross-functional relationships to ensure actionable insights that drive profitable business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to develop, test business rules, and produce metrics and reports for correct data usage.
  • Review data gathering and refreshing steps to guarantee data quality and proper usage.
  • Use data handling and mining tools to maintain a proactive data quality monitoring program focusing on business intelligence and analytics applications.
  • Work closely with credit analytics teams and data originators to ensure consistency and eliminate data redundancies.
  • Present comprehensive reports summarizing analytic projects, data quality metrics, and data integration insights to management.
  • Assist in promoting data literacy across the company to enable stakeholders to effectively use data.
  • Ensure data is clean, consistent, accurate, and actionable for easy company-wide usage.
  • Execute ad hoc data analyses in response to business requests.
  • Participate in collaborative software and system design for new platforms, products, and services.
  • Represent credit risk concerning data security, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and recovery frameworks.
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field such as information management, statistics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in analytics within any industry including credit risk, financial services, marketing, fraud, or insurance.
  • Proven experience in Data Wrangling, Data Engineering, or similar roles in a Big Data ecosystem, and proficiency in analytic programming and automation using tools like Python, R, SQL, and BI tools such as Spotfire or Tableau.
  • Strong aptitude and proven ability to develop data-driven solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Experience or aptitude for mentoring and leading a team of junior analysts, including personnel management.
  • Proficiency in deriving insights from large amounts of diverse customer data using analytical and visual techniques.
  • Knowledgeable about banking regulations, particularly concerning credit and lending functions.
