Job Overview
Join AstraZeneca as a Data Analysis Specialist where you will play a pivotal role in delivering life-changing medicines. Based in Guadalajara (hybrid model - 3 days in office), you will manage various data analysis challenges, working either autonomously or under the guidance of senior data analysts.
Key Responsibilities
As a Data Analysis Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
- Defining data requirements and solutions for simpler analysis challenges and translating unstructured business problems into data designs.
- Profiling data to understand provenance, quality, and compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
- Wrangling data for data science model generation and business insights.
- Supporting data engineers in developing Source to Target pipelines (e.g., ETL design).
- Processing compliant access requests for data and managing information lifecycle management.
- Providing data understanding to Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists.
- Collaborating with Risk, Assurance, Privacy, Information Security, and Regulatory authorities to ensure data controls.
- Communicating insights and results objectively.
- Engaging in personal development and training in complex data analysis skills, techniques, and tooling.
Specializations
This role includes three key specializations:
- Source Data Analysts: Supporting engineers by defining data requirements and modeling data structures.
- Integration Data Analyst: Building composite analytics applications and supporting data integration paths.
- Data Steward: Managing data governance policies, standards, and operations.
Essential Skills
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Experience in data requirement analysis, data quality analysis, and data stewardship.
- Ability to translate requirements into data models, processing designs, and profile reports.
- Proficiency in data modeling technologies and Agile data definition scrum.
- Knowledge of key AZ policies for data privacy and security.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and cloud technologies like AWS and Azure.
