Role Overview: Data Analyst - Agriculture

This pivotal role within our Agriculture and Sustainability team will have you working out of our dynamic GB office, interfacing with various business and technical stakeholders. As a Data Analyst at McCain, you will focus on providing strategic data-driven insights across multiple facets of the agriculture domain including crop intelligence and sustainable farming practices among others.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead requirement gathering sessions to identify business needs and translate them into actionable data analysis tasks.
• Develop and optimize Power BI reports, ensuring robust data modeling and dashboard usability.
• Foster the adoption of BI tools through strategic leadership and support across business units.
• Stay abreast of industry trends in BI tools and data analysis techniques, applying these insights to drive better decision-making within McCain.
• Provide mentorship to junior analysts, setting high standards for data visualization and analysis.

About You

The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical background, proven experience in similar BI and data roles, and an excellent ability to interpret business needs into technical solutions. Prior exposure to the FMCG or agriculture sector, although not mandatory, is highly advantageous.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in data-heavy roles, preferably within FMCG or Agriculture.
• Proficient in Power BI, with strong capabilities in other BI tools like Tableau or Microstrategy.
• Solid understanding of data governance and SQL/python fundamentals.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
