Description

🕙 Role Details: This is a full-time role for 40 contracted hours per week

💷 Salary: £36,000 - £45,000 based on experience and track record

🌍 Location: We are a hybrid team, based throughout the UK. We offer the flexibility to work outside of the UK up to 90 days per year, however you must be able to work and live permanently within the UK, and travel to our offices in central London at least once a week for Product team sessions.

The Role

We are looking for a talented Data Analyst to join Isla! This is our first dedicated Data hire and there is room to grow with us as we look into establishing our Data & Insights function in the future. The role will focus on providing insights into the live operations of our product and supporting feature development, adoption and commercialisation, whilst also driving the delivery of organisation-wide business intelligence which will shape strategic decisions across the company.

While you will be primarily focused on data and analytics to input into product development, the role is dynamic, and will be the opposite as you focus on supporting several teams with their data needs. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly analytical and passionate about how data is collected and utilised, as well as able to build great relationships across many parts of an organisation.

Who We Are

We are creating a new operating model for healthcare where the majority of patients can be managed asynchronously and remotely. The Isla platform is the technology which enables this shift safely and at scale. Isla enables the secure submission of photos, videos, digital Patient Reported Outcome Measures, consent forms and sound recordings by patients and clinicians. Remote submissions empower patients to monitor their own conditions safely at home and clinician capture allows patients to be baselined and to build up a view of patient progress.

Since going live in our first pilot sites 3 years ago, Isla has scaled quickly and is now working with 33 Trusts across the NHS and internationally. Isla is an intuitive and highly scalable solution which can be deployed across multiple specialties and can support patients right across their healthcare journey.

Over the next 12 months, you will:

  • Take ownership of product & client-facing reporting across usage, adoption, drop-offs, uptake and utilisation
  • Implement product analytics to report on health metrics and team-wide KPIs, as well as better understand our users
  • Perform cohort analysis and retention reporting to support product strategy
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales, Product, Delivery, Operations & Engineering teams to understand their data analytics needs
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to support the optimisation of business operations across all functions. This will include generating regular and ad-hoc reports to communicate insights and findings to the operations team, enabling data-driven decision-making across the company
  • Work cross-functionally with our Partnerships team to model usage targets and product utilisation, as well as revenue projections to support our further expansion
  • Provide input into our impact and KPI reporting
  • Actively input into company strategy and steer key decisions
  • Assume responsibility for processing and supporting publicly available data to support our product and understand tech adoption in healthcare

Requirements

  • 1.5 + years as a Data Analyst (or a similar role)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data
  • Proficiency in data analysis (SQL, Looker, or an equivalent)
  • Some experience using Python (for example for database management) is preferred
  • Experience working with internal and external customers and understanding their needs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Enthusiasm, passion, energy and the desire to make positive change

Nice to have:

  • Experience with product analytics (e.g. Google Analytics)

Using AI Tools for Your Application

Most of our roles include several questions as part of the application process. AI tools such as ChatGPT might be useful in structuring or proof-reading your cover letter or your application answers. We encourage you to do your own research to fully understand the company and the role you are applying to as you will be asked questions during any interview. Generic AI-generated answers are also really obvious. We'd like to get an idea of how you think early in the process; you should also make sure Isla is the right fit for you before you apply. Make AI tools work for you, not against you!
