Job Description
Background:
In response to an increased demand in our services, we are seeking a seasoned Data Analyst to join our team. The role involves aiding a diverse assortment of projects of various sizes and dimensions. We are looking for an individual with a demonstrable record of successful delivery in a consultancy setting.
The Opportunity:
The duties of the Data Analyst will entail, but will not be restricted to:
- Providing technical knowledge and support to non-specialists
- Creating multi-faceted reports with suggestions to senior management
- Creating, analysing and maintaining corporate datasets
- Providing guidance and advice on data quality issues to a wide audience of data providers
- Develop or use mechanisms used by clients to allocate manpower to projects
- Bearing responsibility for the visibility, accuracy, and transparency of the project's critical path
- Preparing presentations and other resources for client proposals.
- Inputting critical information into the Turner & Townsend internal database tools.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Data Analyst
- Robust analytic and numeracy skills with the capability to comprehend and present data in diverse representations
- Demonstrable success in Data Analysis; defining requirements and documenting these using suitable tools and documents
- Knowledge of data warehousing and processes
- A-Z experience from project initiation to the ongoing management of data, analytics, and reporting tasks
- Capability to identify and run different business and model scenarios
- Effective communicator, (both orally and in writing), capable of interfacing with clients, contractors and designers
- Advanced skillability in Excel with the capability to create macros for automated dashboards, graphs and tables
- A-Level equivalent in Mathematics and/or Computing
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in an Engineering and/or Construction environment
- PRINCE2 / Agile Certification or relevant experience
- Degree-level education or equivalent in an analytic subject
- Understanding of Business Improvement Techniques
- Capability, or eagerness to learn, to programme in languages such as VBA and SQL
