About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will analyze, interpret, and generate financial, lending, and impact data to support the strategic objectives of the Cincinnati Development Fund (CDF). You will collaborate closely with lending, strategy/compliance, and finance teams to ensure data integrity, produce insightful reports, and provide actionable insights that drive impact in underserved communities.

Primary Responsibilities

Data Collection and Management

• Collect and organize data from various sources, including internal databases, financial systems (Sage Intacct), and external reports.
• Enter loan data into our loan servicing database.
• Coordinate all CDF data collection processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through regular internal audits and validation processes.
• Maintain and update data management systems and databases.
• Work with Portfolio Manager to collect missing compliance and impact data.

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Analyze financial, loan, and impact data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate data findings and insights.

Performance Monitoring

• Provide project and program-level impact data to support funding applications and communications/storytelling efforts.
• Monitor and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of CDF programs and initiatives.
• Provide recommendations based on data analysis to improve program performance and outcomes.

Support Strategic Planning

• Collaborate with management and program teams to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic initiatives and business development efforts.
• Systematically monitor, analyze, and distribute neighborhood-level census data for CDF target markets.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including lending, strategy/compliance, and finance, to support data-driven decision-making.
• Communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, finance, economics, mathematics, urban planning, or a related field.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of CDFI industry, community development finance, and regulatory requirements is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GIS mapping and spatial data analysis.
• Familiarity with impact measurement and social performance metrics.
• Understanding of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
