Position Overview

At Ecolab, within our dynamic Procurement Analytics and Digital Solutions group, we are looking for a driven Data Analyst Trainee to join our Digital Capabilities team. This role focuses on enhancing digital capabilities and advancing analytics to support business decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in developing new digital products, offering crucial insights to tackle business challenges and improving data understanding related to chemicals across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst Trainee, you will:

• Lead as a liaison between stakeholders to analyze and validate requirements for business process modifications and reporting enhancements.
• Design, test, and maintain data products, standardized reporting and business intelligence dashboards.
• Drive process automation and analyze data to propose recommendations for solving complex business issues.
• Collaborate with IT to enhance data pipelines and system capabilities.
• Provide training on new systems, tools, and processes to other teams.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• Strong interest in business intelligence or analytical roles.
• Proficiency in data visualization and delivering key insights to stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and intermediate SQL abilities. Openness to learn DAX.

Preferred:

• Prior experience in creating and maintaining reports and dashboards.
• Proven track record of managing and executing projects.
• Experience with advanced analytics tools like Python, R, SPSS or similar.
• Background in data science (time series analysis, forecasting, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI and project management skills.
• Understanding of the petrochemical industry is a plus.
• Educational background in Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, IT, or Engineering is preferred.
