Intern Responsibilities

As a Data Analytics Intern at Waystar, your responsibilities will include:

  • Understanding and embodying our core values
  • Attending meetings and professional development training sessions
  • Completing tasks assigned by your manager
  • Conducting in-depth research and analysis
  • Assisting with various reports and tasks
  • Working 20-30 hours per week
  • Completing a final project and presenting it to management

Internship Project

The main project you'll be working on is the "Operational Analytics Transformation." This involves building operational analytics platforms and processes to extract insights from data, helping our client operations team make data-driven decisions. You will be integral in data collection and preliminary analytics, dedicating 100% of your time to these projects.

What You'll Learn

  • Leverage data to generate actionable insights
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) crucial for leadership decisions
  • Apply data analytics concepts in real-world scenarios

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who fits the following profile:

  • Rising senior or current senior graduating between December 2022 and May 2023
  • Minimum GPA of 3.2
  • Open to various majors/minors
  • Active involvement in campus or community activities
  • Curiosity and eagerness to delve into assigned projects
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of PowerBI, SQL, and Python is a plus, but not required
