Job Description

The Data Analytics Subject Matter Expert (SME) will support Program Management and Data Management by performing technical and programmatic reviews of all requirements and data products. The SME will recommend strategies for product support and sustainment over time, considering current supply chain data governance impacts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and distribute technical specifications into workflow areas.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and maintain a portfolio of data products, including research, analysis, metrics, workflows, and architecture.
• Serve as the technical and sustainment manager/executor for the AMC Predictive Analytics Suite (APAS) and Vantage data platform.
• Analyze data requirements and manage evolving requirements in platforms such as APAS, Vantage, Advanced Analytics (ADVANA), and Strategic Support Area Business Reporting Environment (SABRE).
• Conduct data engineering and product development, delivering data products in Palantir Foundry, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Create Power BI datasets to support enterprise leadership decision-making.

Experience

More than five years of experience in integrating Army maintenance, logistics, financial, or contracting data into data-driven decision-making applications using an Army or DoD cloud big data analytics environment such as Army Vantage, AMC Predictive Analytics Suite (APAS), or Advana. A minimum of 15 years of experience developing production data-driven decision-making applications, including creating data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable information displayed in user-friendly tools and visualizations.

Education

PhD in Computer Science, Modeling and Simulation, Data Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field requiring computational data analytics.

Skills

• Data engineering programming in an Apache Spark environment using Spark SQL or PySpark.
• Developing data visualization applications using Power BI, Palantir Workshop, or Tableau.
