Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer at Meta, you will:

  • Design, model, and implement data warehousing solutions to underpin informed decision-making across the company.
  • Create advanced data models and visualizations for a variety of use cases and products.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to address data needs and present key insights effectively.
  • Manage SLAs for data sets, enhance data logging frameworks, and oversee data security and governance.
  • Address complex data integration challenges with optimized ETL patterns, leveraging both structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Refine and simplify the development of data pipelines, dashboards, and systems to boost productivity and impact.
  • Influence strategic product decisions through insightful data analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Sciences, or related fields.
  • At least five years of post-baccalaureate work experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Proficiency in big data ecosystem use cases, custom ETL design, object-oriented programming, schema design, SQL, data analysis, and MapReduce or MPP systems.
  • Expertise in Python programming.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $248,920 to $279,400, supplemented with bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Your individual pay package will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
