Are you ready to become a key player in data engineering at a global scale? Vanguard is looking for a skilled Data Engineer for our CDAO Europe team, based in our forward-thinking data engineering department. Our team is responsible for creating robust, scalable data pipelines tailored to the needs of the FAS & UKPI Business using leading-edge AWS serverless services, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data availability.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

As a Data Engineer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Developing and writing ETL processes, designing database systems, and constructing tools for both real-time and offline analytics processing.
• Troubleshooting to ensure consistency and integrity of data. Integrating large scale data from diverse sources to help business partners derive insights and make informed decisions.
• Translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications and developing complex program codes.
• Collaborating with internal clients to deeply understand their business processes and data needs.
• Leading solution development phases and articulating technical considerations in related meetings with various stakeholders.
• Conducting rigorous testing of code and data tools, ensuring the precision of the designed solutions.
• Designing training programs on new tools and data methodologies for team members and business users.
• Implementing new software releases and managing the regression testing process, including vendor interaction to resolve any issues.
• Contributing to special projects and performing other roles as required.

Required Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of five years in data analytics, programming, database administration, or data management.
• An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Proficient in IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, AWS S3, Glue, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, StepFunctions, and DynamoDb technologies.
