Primary Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of ETL and Hadoop/Snowflake applications. This includes:

• Handling end-to-end project delivery from inception through post-implementation support.
• Developing new transformation processes for data loading and optimizing existing ETL code and platforms.
• Analyzing, designing, and enhancing system interfaces and applications.
• Coding, documenting, debugging, and troubleshooting data processing scripts and procedures.
• Providing insightful business analysis as required.
• Ensuring continuous improvement through deployment support including during weekends or late hours.

Requirements for the Ideal Candidate

Candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Computer Science/Engineering.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in technical analysis, design, and implementation of data warehousing/Data Lake solutions.
• Proficient SQL programming skills and experience with stored procedure development.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Informatica or other similar ETL tools and relational databases.
• Strong competency in UNIX Shell scripting to support data warehousing solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Additional advantageous qualifications include experience in Hive/Impala/Spark/Snowflake, and exposure to Teradata, Agile development environments, TWS Scheduler, Data warehousing domains, dimensional modeling, and architecture of ETL solutions.
