At Axes In Motion, we develop and publish Free-to-Play (F2P) mobile games from our office in Seville. Our games have been downloaded over 400 million times globally, especially our popular open-world driving simulators.

We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Data Engineer to expand our dynamic team.

About the Role: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Axes In Motion, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Developing and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes using Google Cloud Composer or other orchestration tools.
• Ensuring data quality, security, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data infrastructure and pipelines.
• Monitoring performance and managing costs associated with data pipelines.
• Configuring and managing data exports from Firebase and Google Analytics to BigQuery.
• Performing regular checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of Google Analytics events.
• Collaborating with team members to design Google Analytics events.
• Designing tables and optimizing data schema for integration with data visualization tools like Looker Studio.
• Developing robust code for connecting to third-party APIs.
• Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in data engineering and GCP technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience designing ETLs for connecting to third-party APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in GCP services, especially BigQuery.
• Experience with GCP services such as Google Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.
• Knowledge of designing tables and optimizing data schema for tools like Looker Studio or Tableau.
• Experience exporting data from Firebase and Google Analytics to BigQuery.
• Proven ability to write clean, efficient code.
• Good English proficiency, at least equivalent to Cambridge B2.
• Skills in Python programming and Git for version control.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge and experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
• Experience in the mobile games or mobile apps industry.
• Experience working with AdMob, Google Analytics, Google Play Developer, and Apple App Store Connect APIs.
