We're in search of a skilled mid-level Data Engineer to enhance our Supplier Services team. This group assists a diverse range of businesses in connecting with an extensive network of over 500,000 suppliers to fulfill their sourcing requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, and release.
  • Work closely with other engineers and product managers as part of an autonomous, cross-functional team.
  • Take operational responsibility for the services your team develops, which may include participating in an on-call rotation.
  • Identify and assemble data sets that align with business requirements, both functional and non-functional.
  • Develop and maintain robust analytics models to provide insights into key business metrics.
  • Ensure the reliability and efficiency of data pipelines, making necessary adjustments as business needs evolve.
  • Assist in developing data models to support analytics and data science teams.
  • Create and maintain software for automating updates to database systems.
  • Enhancement of deployment processes to integrate with existing devops and CI/CD frameworks.
  • Design and implement automated tests to ensure software reliability during deployment.

Who You Are

  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a data engineer or software engineer, ideally in a dynamic and problem-solving environment.
  • Proficient with cloud-based data warehouses such as Redshift or Snowflake.
  • Experienced with event tracking tools like Segment or Tealium.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts including Relational Models, Dimensional Models, and Data Vault.
  • Expertise in SQL and scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript.
  • Knowledgeable in AWS data services (RDS, Data Migration Service, S3, Athena, Kinesis, etc.) and API technologies (REST, GraphQL).
  • Have a solid grasp of message queuing, stream processing, and scalable data storage solutions.
  • Possess a clear understanding of web application architectures and design.
