This hands-on technical role will see you designing and implementing data pipelines and databases, ensuring optimal alignment with our technical designs and data platform patterns.

Workplace Flexibility and Locations

We value flexibility in our work environment. You'll mostly be working from home, with occasional visits to the office as per your preference. We have offices in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, Salford Quays, Manchester, and Guernsey, but we're also open to remote applications from across the country.

You'll be a perfect fit for our team if you are:

• An expert in PySpark and SQL with a passion to advance your career in data engineering.
• Adept at delivering data solutions from source to consumption, using Azure best practices.
• Experienced in turning customer requests into effective data designs and successful implementations.
• A proponent of agile teamwork and eager to showcase your data handling capabilities.

Role Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

• Develop a range of secure and efficient data pipelines from various data sources.
• Ensure data is cleansed, mapped, transformed, and optimized for both business and technical use cases.
• Implement data observability and quality controls into all pipelines.
• Construct and manage data storage solutions across multiple platforms.
• Create and test BI solutions including data marts and report visualizations using tools like PowerBI.

Experience & Qualifications:

We're looking for someone with:

• 2-5 years of experience in designing and building end-to-end data solutions.
• Strong engineering and database skills in SQL Server and/or Azure-related technologies.
• A proactive, problem-solving approach with excellent time management skills.
• Experience in CI/CD, agile environments, and team collaboration.
