Summary of Position: Denali Advanced Integration is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our agile development team. This role involves analyzing and optimizing ETL processes, and creating high-performance data warehouse solutions using advanced technologies like Amazon Redshift, S3, and Snowflake. As a Data Engineer, you will enhance existing systems and design new ones, ensuring efficient data movement across highly scalable systems.

Essential Functions:

As part of our team, you will:

• Design, implement, test, and deploy robust data processing infrastructures.
• Contribute to the architecture of scalable and reliable data engineering solutions.
• Participate in Agile team settings and provide just-in-time designs for work increments.
• Manage full development life cycles - from gathering requirements and designing systems to implementation and support.
• Develop advanced data models and optimize SQL stored procedures and jobs for peak performance.
• Write and refine data quality test cases and scripts.
• Interpret complex reporting requirements into executable development tasks.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This role is based in a professional office setting, predominantly working with standard office equipment. While mainly stationary, you will occasionally need to move around the office or handle materials weighing up to 25lbs.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, with a proven track record of managing large-scale database platforms.

Key Qualifications:

• Expertise in SQL and familiarity with programming languages like Java and Ruby.
• Experience with data solutions like Redshift, Snowflake, Postgres, and Redis.
• Strong skills in data visualization and dashboard development.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent communication skills and a drive to adopt new technologies.
