Data Engineer - Snowflake Experience at Expleo

Overview

Join Expleo as a Data Engineer with a focus on Snowflake. In this vital role, you will take full ownership of specific areas, creating stable and reliable systems. You will optimize data management strategies to boost information retrieval from databases. This position predominantly involves on-site work, with four days per week required at our office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a robust data pipeline architecture.
• Collate large and complex data sets that satisfy both functional and non-functional business needs.
• Drive internal process enhancements by automating manual tasks, refining data delivery, and redesigning infrastructure for augmented scalability.
• Construct the necessary infrastructure for efficient data extraction, utilizing SQL and AWS big data technologies.
• Develop analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to deliver actionable insights and crucial business performance metrics.

Qualifications

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similarly related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable: Certification in a programming discipline.

Skills

• Demonstrable experience with Snowflake.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Profound knowledge of big data technologies.
• Understanding of both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, Cassandra) database management systems.
• Familiarity with ETL and data integration tools like Talend, Informatica, or Apache NiFi.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Adaptability and a keenness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
