About the Role

Join our global team of Data Engineers and technical development experts at Collins Aerospace, a division of Raytheon Technologies. We're looking for a highly motivated Data Engineer to contribute to our Data & Analytics team. This role can be based at any Collins domestic location or fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for analytics and reporting needs.
- Utilize Snowflake for data warehousing, including data modeling, schema design, and optimization.
- Implement ETL processes using Matillion to integrate, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake.
- Use Alteryx for data preparation, transformation, and workflow automation.
- Develop and maintain data visualizations and dashboards in Tableau to provide actionable insights.
- Write complex SQL queries for data retrieval, analysis, and reporting. Optimize queries for performance and efficiency.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by developing and implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug data issues, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges.
- Create and maintain documentation for data processes, workflows, and architecture.

Education & Experience
Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience. In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required.
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen or a US Green Card holder.
- 5+ years of experience in a data engineering role, with proficiency in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Experience with large-scale datasets, complex data architectures, and unstructured data.
- Proven experience with Snowflake, Matillion, Alteryx, and Tableau or equivalent technologies.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and aggregations.
- Experience developing dashboards and visualizations using Tableau.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and best practices, with hands-on experience in Matillion.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
