About Telesat Lightspeed

Telesat Lightspeed, our revolutionary Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network, is scheduled to begin service in 2027. This network will dramatically enhance global broadband connectivity for enterprise users by providing high capacity, security, resiliency, and affordability with ultra-low latency and fiber-like speeds.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze business and system requirements.
  • Create project documentation as required.
  • Assemble sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements.
  • Participate in the planning of integration projects and collaborate with stakeholders and project team members.
  • Design, develop, and deploy data and integration solutions following organizational architectural principles, policies, and guidelines.
  • Research and make recommendations on data and integration products and services.
  • Test and troubleshoot integration solutions, identifying and resolving system issues.
  • Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions for integration systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level application integration, including design, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Expertise in business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling and methodology development, and data mapping.
  • Experience in linking cross-functional applications between disparate business units and systems.
  • Proficiency in real-time streaming solutions design and development, including Apache Kafka, ksqlDB, Event Hub, Azure Data Explorer, Python.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, including Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Data Lakehouse, MS Fabric. Professional certification is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques, TSQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse solutions design and implementation.
  • In-depth experience with securing integrations, encryption, Azure Key Vault.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with automated integration tools and process orchestration.
  • Knowledge of API protocols.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets.
  • Strong understanding of the system and software SDLC cycle, DevOps, quality assurance best practices, and methods.
  • Existing Security clearance is an advantage.
