Data Engineer Position at IDEMIA

Purpose:

We are on the lookout for a skilled Data Engineer to define and implement top-notch data architecture aligned with IDEMIA's Data Strategy. This includes a variety of services and tools that set industry standards.

Key Missions:

Join our Global Data Team, a pivotal element in crafting and executing IDEMIA's data strategy. As a Data Engineer, you will collaborate extensively with Data Architects, Data Scientists, and fellow Engineers. Your role will involve:

• Developing new data pipelines using Scala and Spark on AWS, focusing on their robustness and scalability.
• Managing the entire data lifecycle—from collection and design to industrialization—within our AWS infrastructure.
• Designing and implementing a modern data platform architecture that includes data stores, ingress and egress patterns, ensuring adherence to data security and governance alongside a DevOps approach.
• Adapting architecture continuously to include traceability, transparency, scalability, and measurability in a challenging project and technological environment.
• Cooperating with Product and Business Analytics teams to support the development of innovative product roadmap features.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in cloud environments and big data technologies, including AWS certifications.
• Experience with cloud-native design patterns and technologies such as microservices, both synchronous and asynchronous communications, event-driven architecture, and event sourcing patterns.
• Comprehensive understanding of the front-to-back data lifecycle and proficiency across a wide range of data solutions.
• Excellent self-presentation and communication skills in English.
• Capability to code in multiple programming languages relevant to Data & Cloud environments (Scala, Python, Java).
• A team-oriented player with a focus on tangible business results.
