Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data/ETL Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. You will play a vital role in developing and maintaining powerful data pipelines, primarily using Python, focused on our TCA and Analytics products. Your work will ensure smooth data ingestion and transformation, optimizing performance and scalability. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, and Quants, your responsibilities will encompass:

Key Responsibilities

• Data Model Design: Create and maintain scalable, efficient data models and schemas for effective data storage, processing, and retrieval.
• Data Integration: Develop robust ETL processes to consolidate data from various sources, ensuring a consistent data flow across multiple systems.
• Data Quality: Establish validation and cleansing procedures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data processing and storage systems. Enhance query efficiency, indexing strategies, and data partitioning.
• Scalability and Reliability: Ensure data systems can scale efficiently with increasing data volumes.
• Database Management: Oversee and optimize database systems, including PostgreSQL.

Requirements

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of data engineering experience with proficiency in Python.
• Experience with multi-threading and multi-processing is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with R and understanding of C++/OOP concepts is advantageous.
• Proficiency in data warehousing principles and strong SQL and database management skills. Cloud platform experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of TCA products, API development, and database optimization is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
