Location: Remote with 1 day per week on-site in Washington, DC SW

Inalab Consulting, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Data Governance / Analytics Analyst to join our team. This role supports our client at Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO).
Job Description
As a Data Governance / Analytics Analyst, you'll synthesize insights from vast data sets captured by OCFO Government employees and collaborate closely with Government analysts. You'll work with key OCFO stakeholders to develop strategies that enhance team performance and drive the implementation of strategic recommendations through project management.
Your passion for innovative analysis will help you build, engage, and retain a highly talented team of analysts. This role involves regular interaction with other stakeholders and senior management.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations on big data management and analytics technologies.
- Apply accounting and auditing concepts to client situations.
- Perform financial, budgetary, and operational data analytics.
- Meet engagement project expectations defined by stakeholders.
- Identify, communicate, and address project risks, assumptions, and constraints.
- Manage resources, communications, and project/program costs.
- Collect and document project and engagement financial, accounting, and audit information for reporting purposes.
- Ensure the timely completion and delivery of engagement-specific work products and deliverables.
- Conduct detailed research and analysis of technical information.
- Maintain knowledge of industry-leading data quality and data protection management practices.
- Stay informed on data-related government regulatory requirements and emerging trends and issues.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Data Governance / Analytics Analyst role, candidates should meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Social/Physical/Life Science, Business, or a related field; OR a minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analytics or a directly related field.
- Experience: Five (5) or more years of analytical experience in product/BI analytics or business operations.
- Experience with reporting and visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience with scripting/programming for data mining and modeling (R, Python).
- Proficiency in SQL, OBIEE, R, Tableau, Python, PowerBI, or similar tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
