The Opportunity

EY is seeking a Data Governance - Senior Consultant to join our team in Lisbon. You will help organizations assess the maturity of their current data governance practices and shape their future data management landscapes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining data management policies and processes
  • Investigating data quality
  • Assessing data management maturity and data quality
  • Designing and implementing Data Governance models

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate the strategic objectives of an organization into data-related objectives
  • Apply knowledge of best practices and market trends in information and data architectures
  • Identify and characterize data exploitation initiatives
  • Convert business needs into data functionalities
  • At least 2 years of experience in defining and implementing data governance models
  • Experience in establishing data management and governance policies, processes, and procedures
  • Proficiency in data governance tools like Informatica, Microsoft Purview, Collibra, etc.
  • Effective communication with teams and client personnel
  • Develop professional knowledge and experiences
  • Strong autonomy, problem-solving, and communication skills

Skills and Attributes for Success

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills are also essential for success in larger team environments, including client-side stakeholders.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, physics, business administration, economics, or related fields
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Consulting
  • 3+ years of experience in Data and technology-related projects as a Data Governance/Management/Strategy consultant
  • Strong drive to excel professionally
  • Knowledge of Data Management/Governance and current technological trends
  • Dedication, innovation, resourcefulness, analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure
  • Efficiency, innovation, and team-oriented work environment
  • Full proficiency in English

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:

  • Experience in analyzing and documenting business processes
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence
  • Experience in Data & Analytics projects such as designing data models and mapping data flows
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Knowledge of frameworks like DAMA, CMMI DMM, and PMBOK
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
