Introduction to the Role:

Join AstraZeneca as a Data Management Lead, where your expertise in material master creation and maintenance within the SAP ERP system is vital. You will take regional responsibility for the product data creation process, identify improvement opportunities, and refine our operational methods. Additionally, you will support supply chain business projects and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives from a data management perspective.

Key Accountabilities:

In your role as Data Management Lead, you will:

• Manage and maintain Material master data across various SAP and Non-SAP systems for product data creation.
• Have a deep understanding of business processes and align activities with global and regional standards.
• Support product master data projects in business initiatives when changes affect supply chains.
• Initiate, sustain, and successfully implement process improvement activities within the defined scope.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• A strong team player with exceptional teamwork and collective responsibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Keen attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in stakeholder management and coordination.
• Demonstrable analytical and disciplined approach, capable of independent work with minimal supervision.
• Exposure to other functional areas of SCM aside from Master Data Management is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Management.
• 4-8 years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (Material Master Management) is essential; familiarity with SAP APO is desirable.
• Experience with SAP MDG is a plus, though not mandatory.
• Prior experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Process Expert is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) is required.
• Understanding and appreciation of business processes.
• Experience or certification in Continuous Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) is beneficial.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
