Job Overview

CTG is actively seeking a Data Management Specialist to join our client’s team in Rochester, MN. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to be a pivotal part of the Research Business Intelligence team. Your role will involve performing unit and systems integration testing of data within existing warehouses and Business Intelligence environments. You will also be responsible for proposing solutions and strategies to optimize applications and data management best practices. Additionally, you will document and track user errors and experiences to help guide future improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and validate metadata contained in a research data management system.
• Construct metadata definitions and data fields.
• Program variable sequences, rules, and dependencies.
• Review clinical protocol design, system specifications, metadata definitions, and database infrastructure.
• Develop data transfer specifications and create data transfer files while collaborating closely with clients and study teams.
• Monitor and resolve system errors.
• Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Working Instructions.
• Oversee performance and operation of metadata and electronic collection methodologies for assigned studies.
• Participate in Research quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support compliance initiatives and regulatory requirements like HIPAA, ICH, GCP, and JCAHO.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in SQL
• Coding Experience
• Familiarity with APIs
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• In-depth knowledge of databases
• Experience with data governance and creating SOPs and working instructions for managing data

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with cloud-based environments (e.g., Google Cloud)
• Experience in building dashboards and reports in Tableau or Power BI

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are a must.

Compensation

The expected base salary for this role ranges from $50 to $60 per hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure and certifications. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
