About Your New Team

At Interactive Brokers, you will join a forward-thinking team that seeks a talented Data Scientist. Your role will involve developing, maintaining, and enhancing quantitative models to detect anomalous activity and ensure AML surveillance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist at IBKR, you will:

• Design, calibrate, and enhance AML and financial crime-related surveillance reports.
• Identify suspicious activity patterns through client data reviews.
• Apply statistical analysis to improve accuracy in identifying suspicious activities for AML analysts.
• Refine business requirements and develop programming specifications.

Desired Skills

• Proven experience with AML and BSA regulations.
• Advanced degree in Statistics or a Quantitative Field (Master's or PhD preferred).
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in AML or financial transaction modeling.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, ideally in cashiering surveillance.
• Database management skills, including SQL.
