Job Description
Internship Context
Assystem's Data & Digital Factory offers an exciting internship opportunity for engineering/masters students with a focus on data science. The mission is to contribute to the creation of an advanced architecture simulator of a system of interest for the nuclear industry in Python. This simulator will connect various components of a nuclear power plant, cooling systems, safety systems, etc. with other components to validate the overall architecture. A good foundation in Python is required.
Your missions:
Specifically, we are seeking an intern to contribute to the development of complex system modeling parts for nuclear power plants. The candidate will be responsible for:
- Working closely with our R&D team to design and develop the simulator.
- Collecting, processing, and analyzing data needed to create the simulation model.
- Testing and validating the simulator to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
The candidate will also be proactive in participating in one of the ongoing projects and collaborating with the rest of the team.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a software engineering/master's degree, in computer science or in data science.
- Strong skills in Python.
- Good knowledge of machine learning, object-oriented programming, knowledge of decision trees and LLMs.
- Basic knowledge of nuclear physics and nuclear systems is a plus.
- Good level of English.
