This role will be part of our Grid Intelligence team.
What you'll do:
- Design, implement, and test innovative power systems algorithms to solve challenges of electrical distribution grids
- Lead, develop, and test power system algorithms for custom projects
- Write technical requirement and specification documents for product development
- Implement the core algorithm in Network Intelligence product
- Develop algorithm for TAQA project and other GridInsights future customers
- Continue and improve Fault Algorithm
What you'll need:
- PhD or master's in electrical power systems engineering, with at least 3-5 years of industry work experience
- Excellent knowledge of power distribution grids
- Very good knowledge of signal processing techniques in power systems
- Expertise in fault management technologies and algorithms in distribution grids
- Proficiency in programming in Python – other languages can be a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Autonomous, rigorous, structured, and methodical
- Passion for working with new technologies and developing innovative solutions
- Experience in agile software development

Ideally, you will be based in Greater Manchester and willing to come into the office a few days per week. However, we value flexibility and if you prefer to work remotely, let us know.
