Join FocusKPI as we seek a highly skilled Data Scientist - Measurement Modeling to empower one of the U.S.'s premier retailers and e-commerce giants. This is a unique opportunity to influence ads measurement methodologies at a company integral to America's shopping habits, with a significant focus on its burgeoning in-house advertising strategies.

About the Role

As a Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of crafting media mix models that detail the correlation between marketing efforts and business outcomes, both short-term and long-term. This contract role is remote-based in the U.S. and provides a competitive hourly rate of $55 to $65. The initial 6-month contract may extend or convert into a full-time position based on budget availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine media mix models to trace the impact of marketing tactics on business results.
  • Conduct scenario simulations and optimizations to aid in marketing investment decisions.
  • Utilize SQL & Python for hands-on modeling and complex analytics tasks.
  • Improve synthetic control groups and enhance MMM and MTA algorithms for precise ads impact estimates.
  • Simplify complex modeling techniques for stakeholders and craft compelling stories linking model results to business challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science initiatives seamlessly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 6 years of professional experience specifically in ads measurement methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R, coupled with a deep understanding of database structures.
  • Robust background in predictive modeling and advanced measurement in the marketing analytics sphere.
  • Proven project management prowess, handling technical resources and multiple project scopes.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic, agile environment and possess a collaborative spirit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PhD in a related field.
  • Advanced coding capabilities and experience crafting Python modules.
  • Expertise in A/B and multivariate testing methodologies.

Note: We are prioritizing applicants with direct experience in MMM/MTA and ads measurement methodologies. Unfortunately, this position is not suitable for Data Analysts, Data Engineers, or Software Engineers without this specific background.
