About This Job

As a Data Scientist at JUMo, you will interact with multiple business areas, providing valuable insights that directly affect the company's bottom line. Reporting to the Data Science Lead, your responsibilities will include understanding complex data phenomena, improving predictive model features, and exploring the relationship between client interventions and behaviors. You will innovate in algorithm development, process enhancements, and in the analysis of experiments aimed at better understanding our clients and optimizing portfolio strategies such as growth, stability, and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and transform financial and behavioral data into actionable insights.
• Design visual representations of complex datasets for stakeholders at all technical levels.
• Create optimization and allocation algorithms tailored to our prediction models and lending operations.
• Conduct detailed experiments to drive product and portfolio enhancements.
• Automate analytical tasks to scale up productivity and operations.
• Develop models to simulate real-world systems and client behavior to support strategic decision making.
• Assess end-user needs to deliver tailored data solutions.
• Communicate key insights to internal and external stakeholders.

What You Need

• A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related field with a strong quantitative focus.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Finance & Technology.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data manipulation.
• Background in fintech and familiarity with lending products.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with applied statistics and analytics tools (Tableau, Superset).
• Proficiency in developer tools such as GitHub and cloud platforms.
• Advanced degree or notable publications in relevant fields.
