The People Data Scientist is key to optimizing our human capital and fostering a data-driven culture in People practices at the British Council. This role will enable us to make informed decisions, create a more engaged and diverse workforce, and drive our success through effective people management.
Responsibilities include leveraging data science and statistics to drive strategic HR decisions, conducting prescriptive and predictive analysis, and supporting senior management in data-driven decision-making.
Your supporting statement should detail your professional data science portfolio, including models, projects, data products delivered, and business outcomes. It should also include your experience in managing and presenting to business stakeholders.
The interview stage includes a presentation on a recent data science project you have completed. Successful candidates will advance to a technical round, involving a dataset analysis using the CRISP-DM process and various unsupervised learning techniques and dimensionality reduction methods, to be completed in Python or R.
Written and verbal proficiency in English is required, as British Council systems and global processes operate in English.
An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in data science, statistics, data engineering, or computer science is required.
