Job Opportunity: Digital Policy Officer in Brussels

EUROPEAN DYNAMICS is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Digital Policy Officer to join our dynamic team in Brussels, Belgium. This role offers the opportunity to work in an international, multilingual, and multicultural environment where your expertise will make a real impact.

Responsibilities

As a Digital Policy Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting legal and political analysis, offering advice on interoperability, AI, and general digital policies.
• Reviewing and validating deliverables under policy contract tasks.
• Supporting cooperation with stakeholders, including engagement through the CIO network and the Interoperable Board.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of interoperability assessments and regulatory sandboxes.
• Formulating and drafting legal advice on specific policy proposals.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• A university degree in IT or a relevant discipline, with a minimum of 9 years of related experience.
• Extensive experience in legal and political analysis on AI, interoperability, and digital policy.
• Proven track record in supporting interoperability projects, including monitoring and the Interoperability Framework for Smart Cities and Communities.
• Experience in drafting studies and reports on tech-related topics and impact assessments of digital policies.
• Proficiency in contributing to overviews, presentations, and reports on public sector interoperability projects.
• Experience in a research environment focused on digital policies.
• Excellent knowledge of interoperability policies, the Interoperable Act, and related governance aspects.
• Fluency in English.
