Your Role as a Director of Data Integration at GLS
As the Director of Data Integration, you will lead a data integration team focused on creating business-centric information systems that are both stable and scalable. Your role encompasses the development of robust and highly available data infrastructures including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide vision, strategy, and frameworks for delivering data integration solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop a comprehensive data pipeline program and collaborate with key stakeholders for data-backed decision-making.
- Work with the data architecture team to develop data standards on naming convention, storage, design, and deployment.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers to deliver reliable data using continuous improvement principles.
- Manage large, complex projects including oversight, execution, and resource allocation.
- Contribute to IT Architecture Review Board meetings, advocating for Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence users.
- Develop, test, and implement integration processes ensuring alignment with GLS’s Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.
- Enforce best practices for change control, testing, info security, and data governance utilizing DevOps and cloud technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in ETL, BI, Data Architecture, and Business Analytics.
- At least two years of experience in building data lake solutions.
- Experience in building cloud data warehouses (e.g., Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Redshift).
- Advanced skills in SQL, data modeling, data architecture, and ETL schedulers.
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Kafka, or similar technology preferred.
- Knowledge of modern data encryption standards and secure data exchange processes is a plus.
- Proven experience in SDLC and quality control processes.
- Strong project management skills, including timeline development, task assignment, and risk management.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
