Who We Are Looking For
Fors Marsh seeks a skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Director of Data Management and Survey Programming. Reporting to the Senior Director of the Survey Analytics, Logistics, and Techniques (SALT) division, this individual will collaborate with Fors Marsh leaders across various divisions to lead end-to-end survey processes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for programming and testing survey instruments, cleaning datasets, recoding data files, and delivering error-free final deliverables across multiple projects.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand survey questionnaires and data requirements for implementation, data collection, sampling, weighting, and analysis.
- Organize team assignments and design workflows with built-in quality control checkpoints for managerial and senior analyst review.
- Provide leadership and decision-making to resolve data issues or ambiguities, working closely with project teams and clients to recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure data integrity and standard compliance by creating, maintaining, and enforcing testing, data set creation, and quality control procedures.
- Train and mentor staff in data handling techniques, quality control, problem-solving, and safe PII handling for complex data sets.
- Support business and proposal development, including writing technical approaches, management plans, and estimating labor hours and costs.
- Manage competing demands, project schedules, and quality control while serving as a positive role model and mentor.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in statistics, business analytics, survey research, data science, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in survey programming and data management for large-scale primary data collection projects.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, including team leadership, maintaining a productive work environment, and team development.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience across multiple schedules and deliverables.
- Proficiency in statistical software packages such as Stata, R, SPSS, and Python for data cleaning and processing.
- Experience with survey tools like Voxco or Qualtrics.
- Familiarity with Federal security requirements and processes for conducting surveys and primary data collection.
- Effective multitasking and time-management skills with limited direction and supervision.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and consent to a full background check due to federal contract requirements.
- Eligibility for access to sensitive information following government security investigation.

Salary: $140,000-$162,000
