About the Job:

As the Director of Product Management for Data Governance, Compliance, and Security, you will enhance the Product Management function to support our rapidly expanding business. You will spearhead the product vision and thought leadership for our Data Governance, Security, and Compliance services within our Dataplex product. This includes comprehensive data management tasks from cataloging to quality management, data access, and applying advanced AI models. You will be pivotal in shaping our data and analytics strategy with a focus on BigQuery and developing crucial capabilities for effective data management.

You will be responsible for creating a forward-thinking product go-to-market strategy for Google Cloud’s Data Analytics business, driving growth by collaborating closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams. Your goal will be to improve product adoption by providing powerful business resources and incorporating customer feedback into the product roadmap. Additionally, you will work closely with our Engineering teams and other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) product areas to ensure seamless product development utilizing both proprietary and open-source technologies to solve varied customer challenges.

Compensation:

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $253,000 - $363,000, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges depend on the role, level, and location. Specific salary details will be provided by your recruiter during the hiring process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and articulate a strategic vision by collaborating with customers, partners, field teams, and engineering to create a unified roadmap for internal and external clients.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and service teams to define, build, and support comprehensive Data Analytics products across a range of offerings.
  • Lead prioritization, solution development, functionality enhancement, and pricing decisions.
  • Establish and influence best product management practices through design decisions, processes, and tools.
  • Create and propagate a thought leadership narrative around databases and the broader data landscape to customers and industry leaders.
  • Define and execute Data and Analytics product go-to-market strategies by identifying critical market trends, customer opportunities, and collaborating with Sales leadership globally and regionally.
