Job Summary:

Become an integral part of our Innovation team, where you will contribute to pioneering automotive radar software and cutting-edge self-driving perception technologies. You'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in software engineering, utilizing a variety of tools such as custom IDEs, compilers, and SDKs optimized for edge SoCs. Your role will involve benchmarking custom AI models on NXP hardware and assisting in building a comprehensive software stack for the development of a full radar system PoC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on software engineering and development using tools like customized IDEs and compilers.
• Develop and benchmark AI models on advanced hardware platforms.
• Collaborate in an agile team environment to innovate and solve complex challenges in autonomous technology.

Job Qualifications:

• Proficient in C/C++, Embedded C, and experience with embedded Linux software development.
• Experience setting up custom toolchains with IDEs (Eclipse based), Compilers (GCC), and debuggers (GDB).
• Familiarity with HIL testing, using custom APIs, and potentially hardware emulators or cycle accurate software simulators.
• Good knowledge of Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, as well as embedded ML tools like TFlite, and ONNX toolchains/runtime.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills, with a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.
• Currently enrolled or entering a Master’s or PhD degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits:

The base salary range for this internship position is between $62,400 and $101,900 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. NXP also offers competitive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and other incentive compensations. This range is specific to roles based in California.
