Job Position: Fellowship - Real World Evidence / Clinical Data Science & Evidence

The Novo Nordisk Real World Evidence (RWE) / Clinical Data Science & Evidence (CDSE) Fellow is responsible for supporting the planning and execution of observational research / Real World Evidence studies to support the Evidence and Insights Generation Plans (EIGPs) for specific areas within Novo Nordisk's portfolio. The role may also include coordinating activities such as cross-functional team meetings, project meetings, and observational study protocol reviews. The Fellow will lead specific research studies identified during the annual EIGP process to support product strategy and may partake in activities surrounding study execution, including supporting the communication of study results across the organization. This experiential fellowship offers valuable experience in product strategy development, cross-functional team engagement, managing research projects, vendor coordination, and budget management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead observational research projects and manage vendors, contracts, and budgets.
  • Interact with cross-functional stakeholders as part of research projects.
  • Prepare protocols for internal approvals and engage reviewers during the approval process.
  • Responsible for data dissemination for specific research projects—including external and internal stakeholders, managing the publication planning process.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues within the CDSE team and broader stakeholders across Novo Nordisk Inc, such as Medical and Market Access.
  • Communicate and train Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) content.
  • Engage in broader initiatives executed through the CDSE department to further support the processes and development of RWE.
  • Develop and publish a post-doctoral project using Real World Data available to Novo Nordisk Inc, anchored in the broader EIGP.

Physical Requirements

Approximately 10% overnight travel.

Qualifications

  • PhD (completed or ABD) in a relevant field (health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, public health, health services research) from an accredited university.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle unfamiliar tasks with initiative.
