Key Responsibilities

In this hybrid role, the Forensic Analyst & Data Engineer will focus on forensic investigations and data loss prevention (DLP). Key duties include:

  • Conducting and managing digital forensic investigations, including collection, preservation, examination, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensuring all digital forensics and investigation activities comply with industry best practices.
  • Supporting responses to cyber security incidents with technical expertise in digital forensics.
  • Building and supporting the Data Loss Prevention-Data at Rest project.
  • Collaborating with Cyber Security, Legal, Human Resources, Data Privacy, Corporate Security, and other partners to determine data collection and analysis requirements.
  • Managing data with utmost integrity.
  • Embracing continuous development to support new or evolving technologies and processes.

Who You Are

Bayer is seeking an individual with the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience, or 4+ years of experience in digital forensics, investigations, data engineering, or data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of database systems and large data set management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical individuals.
  • Capability to work independently and within a cross-functional team.
  • Strong observance of confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Windows and MAC operating systems.
  • Facility with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint – and solid familiarity with Office O365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Strong grasp of enterprise-class networks, data stores, and cloud services.
  • Familiarity with emerging cloud technology services and concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in handling complex incidents such as insider risk, corporate espionage, or other cybercrimes.
  • Knowledge of chain-of-custody practices for evidence handling.
  • Code development experience in languages such as R, Python, Java, C++, or SAS.
  • Experience with user data stores on multiple endpoint and mobile device platforms.
