Job Description Job Description Compliance: Responsibility for statutory compliance for entities in all jurisdictions, including these key areas: In accordance with IFRS - Preparation of Effective tax rate and annual computations for current tax and deferred tax for all global entities on a quarterly/annual basis. According to Local GAAP - Preparation of tax computations for both current tax and Deferred Tax as per Local GAAP, applicable to each jurisdiction, for statutory financials. Cooperating with the Finance function and external consultants for the timely filing of tax returns and other compliance requirements. Preparing tax disclosures on a quarterly and annual basis. Preparing estimated tax computations for paying advance taxes. Ensuring adequate defensive documentation to back up the positions taken in the tax return, handling tax audits, and developing strategies for closing audits best suited for the Company. Tax Planning: Implementation of tax planning projects and major contribution to regional/global projects. Participation in due diligence for M&A initiatives, and wherever new regulations with a tax impact are introduced, coordinating with business units and other functions to develop and ensure incorporation of tax considerations in a business plan. Transfer Pricing: Ensuring compliance of all relevant transactions with the Global Transfer Pricing Policy, and maintaining local documentation for all jurisdictions. Specifications: Comprehensive knowledge of tax law and practice, and the latest tax developments. In-depth understanding of IAS 12. Knowledge of international tax principles and concepts is essential. Regional and global/international tax knowledge is required. Demonstrated tax proficiency and experience in both public accounting and industry. Holds tertiary qualification, professional certification (CA / CPA) preferred. Knowledge of IFRS would be an advantage. Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills are desired. Positive working attitude and ability to work well within a team. Ability to remain composed under pressure, prioritize and make decisions in a high-pressure environment. Attention to detail, flexibility, proactiveness, and initiation are important.
