About the Role

As a Graduate Renewables Data Scientist at Wood, you will play a crucial role in supporting our diverse projects within the Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage sectors. This position involves frequent collaboration with international team members across at least five countries, enhancing your global professional network.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the analysis, compilation, and management of data and data streams from various renewable energy projects and sources.
  • Developing and training models, conducting numerical analyses, and engaging in advanced AI toolsets, including large language models.
  • Creating impactful reports and presentations that drive project development, financing, construction, and operations in solar, wind, and battery storage systems.
  • Developing data science tools and analytics to assess energy yields in preconstruction and operational phases.
  • Managing and linking diverse datasets and knowledge domains to enhance information accessibility and utility.
  • Conducting research and summarizing findings for R&D and industry updates in the renewable energy market.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to integrate vital information into project deliverables effectively.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Engineering or Science, with a demonstrated interest in renewable energy.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python (preferred) or SQL.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, along with a flexible and proactive work approach.
  • A strong foundation in SharePoint, PowerApps, and PowerBI, which will be considered an asset.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship from Wood.
