Responsibilities and Tasks

1. Data Strategy and Governance

Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational objectives and business priorities.

Establish and enforce robust data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize data initiatives and investments, maximizing business value and impact.

2. Centralized Data Management

Lead the consolidation and centralization of data management practices across all central data domains, including Supplier, Finance, Customer, HR, and Material.

Architect data models and frameworks to facilitate seamless data integration, storage, and accessibility.

Drive the development and implementation of master data management solutions to ensure consistency and coherence across disparate data sources.

3. Business Focus and Alignment

Work closely with business leaders to understand their data needs, challenges, and strategic objectives.

Identify key business processes and interdependencies to inform data management priorities and initiatives.

Translate business requirements into actionable data solutions, leveraging data analytics and insights to drive business value (e.g., for Sustainability).

4. Team Leadership and Collaboration

Lead and mentor a team of data management professionals (both direct and in matrix setup), providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.

Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration.

Manage conflicts and facilitate resolution, ensuring alignment and cohesion within the data management organization.

5. Transformation and Continuous Improvement

Drive the transformation towards a data-driven culture by promoting best practices and innovation.

Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency gains within the data management ecosystem.

Your Profile and Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

Several years of experience in data management, focusing on data strategy, governance, and centralization.

Strong understanding of business processes, interdependencies, and drivers across functional areas.

Deep expertise in data management best practices, standards, and technologies, including master data management, data integration, and metadata management.

Experience leading data governance initiatives, establishing data quality frameworks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams toward achieving common goals.

Proficiency in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making, focusing on driving towards solutions.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
