Job Description
As a team member, support all data loading processes within the Data Management department. This role will entail developing an understanding of all data loading principles and best practices, adhering to established processes and procedures, and working closely with team members for ongoing technical growth and understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with operational escalations as needed.
- Troubleshoot data loading errors and inconsistencies in line with the established processes and procedures.
- Engage with data suppliers, both in writing and verbally, while checking submitted data or executing project tasks when appropriate.
- Participate in daily scrum meetings to review escalations, worst cases, and any barriers that hamper the performance of assigned responsibilities.
- Escalate relevant issues to senior team members while being responsible for the overall resolution of the issue.
- Investigate and assess reporting history prior to and during all interactions with data providers.
- Handle support calls directly from data providers and other internal staff as required.
- Complete and pass the assigned training that falls within the scope of the role.
- Participate in internal project and change acceptance testing as directed.
- Contribute to weekly change reviews and in areas that need processing or procedural improvements.
Qualifications
- Basic skills in SQL and relational database technology.
- Basic process management and project tracking skills.
- Understanding of ETL.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and report development, i.e. Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, and others.
- Basic competency in MS Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at a basic level.
- Basic problem-solving skills.
- Basic organizational skills.
- Strong English communication skills, both in writing and speaking.
