Team Introduction: Fulfilment Product Analytics at Grab

The Fulfilment Team at Grab operates as a platform tech family, enhancing fulfilment capabilities across all Grab's businesses. Our Fulfilment Product Analytics Team is pivotal in driving product innovation through analytics and experimentation. We’re involved in tuning models, evaluating changes, and conducting experiments to enhance service delivery for our driver partners and customers across Southeast Asia.

Role Overview: Intern – Data Scientist (Analytics)

We are seeking passionate interns to join our Analytics team, to provide valuable insights and propel our fulfilment products forward. This role involves collaboration with multiple teams across Grab, including Product, Engineering, Business, Operations, and Marketing. You will experiment with new ideas, leverage data-driven strategies, and engage in activities that foster significant business and product developments.

Your Responsibilities & Learning Opportunities

• Shadow and learn from our Senior Data Scientists to understand how analytics shape strategic decisions and operations.
• Drive key product decisions through partnership with Product Managers and Engineers by providing analytical insights and designing experiments.
• Support strategic business initiatives by analyzing customer behavior, product effectiveness, and undertaking ad-hoc analytical projects.
• Develop data pipelines and customized data models to address specific business challenges.
• Design and execute A/B testing, analyze outcomes, and recommend product enhancements.

What We Require

• Strong foundational skills in SQL, Python, R, or other programming/scripting languages.
• Proven ability in data visualization and creating impactful stories through data. Proficiency in tools like PowerBI or Tableau is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to identify trends and propose viable solutions.
• Experience or strong knowledge in conducting and analyzing experiments is highly desirable.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent ownership of tasks and a strong drive to maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and experience working in a collaborative environment.
